Infiniti released the first real photo of its new QX30 crossover ahead of the debut at the Geneva Auto Show.
The Infiniti QX30 is just over an inch taller than the Q30 concept, and apparently that is enough to make it crossover instead of a hatchback which earned it the X in its name. The vehicle looks stylish which is fairly easy in a crossover. The Infiniti’s lines, body sculpting, accented by aluminum and carbon-fiber trim bits as well as 21 inch wheels really make it stand out and all in all makes it a very sharp looking vehicle.
The concept will become an actual vehicle and is scheduled for the end of this year. Unlike the Infiniti QX50, the QX30 will use a Front wheel drive / all wheel drive layout. Its platform is based on the Mercedes-Benz GLA, and the Infiniti QX30 will probably use Mercedes four cylinder engines. With the expected price point of the Infiniti QX30 we can assume that it’s biggest competition would be the Audi Q3, the BMW X1, and the Lexus NX.
