If the ridiculous mob that formed around the car this morning is any indication, the new Ford GT is going to be one hell of a car. The successor to Ford’s famed line of GT models will utilize a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 making over 600 horsepower. Even better news, they are planning for it to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The car will go into production late next year for sale and it probably won’t be cheap.
It’s not all engine, though. There is some technology in there as well. Ford noted that the recently introduced Sync 3 system will be included on the GT.
I really like the styling that they have used on the new Ford GT. It is holding true to it’s roots of a GT but it still looks modern. I am really curious to see more specs when they become available and how the final car compares to what they have shown us today.
